First Steps
Piti App was founded by Zayar Min, deep expertise in software development and digital transformation. Having spent decade helping businesses navigate the complex world of technology, Zayar noticed a recurring challenge: small businesses lacked the tools and resources to effectively compete in an increasingly digital economy.
First Meetup
In 2020, we had our first meetup with our customers in Mandalay. This event became a defining moment, as we listened to real stories, struggles, and aspirations from small business owners. Their voices became the foundation of Piti's vision.
Development
In 2021, we introduced our Advanced Analytics feature, enabling merchants to monitor customer retention rates, track member activities, and analyze business performance. This addition gave business owners valuable insights, allowing them to make data-driven decisions to improve customer loyalty and optimize their operations.
Piti +
By 2022, we took a major step forward with the launch of Piti+ Platform—an e-commerce solution tailored for small businesses. This platform seamlessly integrates loyalty and rewards systems, enabling SMEs to sell online, offer loyalty points, and implement customer retention programs effortlessly.
Merchant Meetup
n 2023, we continued building connections by hosting our Merchant Meetup, bringing together business owners to share their experiences, learn from each other, and strengthen the Piti community. That same year, we also launched the Piti Expenses App, designed to help SMEs track expenses, manage budgets, and gain control over their financial health.
Business In A Box
The same year, we introduced our most comprehensive solution yet: "Business In a Box." This all-in-one software and hardware solution combines POS systems, e-commerce tools, loyalty point systems, and essential hardware. With this package, business owners can effortlessly set up and operate their businesses from day one, removing technological and operational barriers.
Digital Transformation
At the beginning of 2024, we embarked on one of our most significant initiatives yet—a digital transformation project in partnership with Myanmar’s largest wet market, MAEX. This groundbreaking project aims to help small business owners transition from paper-based invoices to a fully digital invoicing system. By simplifying record-keeping, reducing manual errors, and improving efficiency, this project represents a pivotal step towards modernizing traditional business operations in Myanmar.
Market Place
In mid-2024, we forged strategic collaborations with Myanmar’s leading banks: A Bank, UAB, and KBZ. Together, we launched a Marketplace within their digital wallet apps, creating a powerful new sales channel for merchants. This integration allows merchants to reach millions of active wallet users directly, significantly boosting their sales potential. At the same time, banks benefit from increased wallet transactions and improved customer engagement. This collaboration represents a win-win innovation that bridges the gap between SMEs and financial institutions, driving growth for all stakeholders involved.
LifeStyle
Following the success of AShop Marketplace for A Bank, we launched the LifeStyle Marketplace within A Bank’s wallet later in 2024. This new marketplace focuses on lifestyle products and services, offering customers a seamless shopping experience directly through their digital wallet. For SMEs, it opens up new sales opportunities in high-demand lifestyle categories, while A Bank benefits from higher wallet transaction volumes and enhanced user engagement.
Team
The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Operating in a market filled with political instability, infrastructure issues, and limited digital adoption, the team had to overcome numerous obstacles. Yet, our dedication to empowering businesses never wavered.
Today, Piti App serves over 550 small businesses, enabling them to sell across multiple channels. Piti App isn’t just a platform—it’s a promise. A promise to stand with small businesses, empower them with technology, and help them grow beyond boundaries.
